We started our operation in 2006 when two Boer cross doe kids were given to us by animal loving friends. Our mom and Dad had goats so we thought that we would give goat production a try. At the time we had horses for our enjoyment but thought raising goats might be enjoyable and rewarding as well. With lots of assistance from Mom and Dad we took our sons to their first wether shows summer 2008 and they loved it.
Now our herd is growing but we are trying to stay focused on enjoying our animals and education of the youth. We participate in the MBGA wether series shows that are held across Michigan from May to July. It is a great opportunity for kids to get out there and compete and practice for their fair shows. Each year the MBGA show commitee trys to improve the series and if you are interested in showing it's a great place to start.
We are true believers that everyday is a new day to learn something we enjoy helping our youth thru 4-H and association shows. Our goals are to be able to produce animals that are competive in market classes but also have the genetics to with stand the challenges of commercial production.
If you are interested in learning about goats or need a market animal please contact us and we will do the best to work with you to find what you are looking for. We are not everything to everyone but if we can't help you we maybe able to send you in the right direction.
